Berry Jam

Delicious, easy homemade jam for the whole family or the perfect gift you can make with the kids too.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen berries
  • 1 tbs maple syrup
  • 1 tbs chia seeds
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbs apple juice

Method

  1. Melt berries over a low heat for a few minutes then roughly mash with a masher.
  2. You can mash as little or much as you want, depending on the consistency you like, just ensure there is a bit of liquid in the saucepan from mashing.
  3. Add the maple syrup, chia seeds, vanilla and apple juice and heat for another minute, mixing as you go.
  4. Transfer to a glass jar.
  5. You can double or triple the recipe to make a larger quantity.
